Umsebenzi wei-MEA yeseli kaphethiloli:

-Ukuqhuba ama-proton: kuvumela ama-proton (H+) ukuthi adlule esuka ku-anode nge-membrane aye ku-cathode.
-Ukusabela okubangela ukusheshisa: Kukhuthaza ukushiswa kwe-hydrogen ku-anode kanye nokunciphisa i-oxygen ku-cathode.
-Ukukhiqiza ugesi: kukhiqiza ukugeleza kwama-electron ngokusebenzisa ukusabela kwama-electrochemical.
-Ukuphatha amanzi: kugcina ibhalansi efanele yamanzi ukuqinisekisa ukusabela okuqhubekayo.
I-VET Energy ithuthukise ngokuzimela ama-MEA asebenza kahle kakhulu, ngokusebenzisa ama-catalyst athuthukile kanye nezinqubo zokukhiqiza ze-MEA, ingaba nalokhu:

c) Izingqimba Zokusabalalisa Igesi (GDL): ezinhlangothini zangaphandle zezingqimba ze-catalyst, ngokuvamile ezenziwe ngezinto zefayibha.
