Rahotanni sun ce Ford ta sanar a ranar 9 ga Mayu cewa za ta gwada nau'in sinadarin hydrogen na na'urar gwajin motocinta na Electric Transit (E-Transit) don ganin ko za su iya samar da ingantaccen zaɓi na rashin fitar da hayaki ga abokan ciniki da ke jigilar kaya masu nauyi a wurare masu nisa.
Kamfanin Ford zai jagoranci wani kamfani a cikin aikin na tsawon shekaru uku wanda ya haɗa da BP da Ocado, ƙungiyar manyan kantuna da fasaha ta Burtaniya. Kamfanin Bp zai mai da hankali kan hydrogen da kayayyakin more rayuwa. Cibiyar Advanced Propulsion Centre ce ke ɗaukar nauyin aikin, wani ɓangare na haɗin gwiwa tsakanin gwamnatin Burtaniya da masana'antar kera motoci.
Tim Slatter, shugaban kamfanin Ford UK, ya ce a cikin wata sanarwa: "Ford ta yi imanin cewa babban amfani da ƙwayoyin mai zai kasance a cikin manyan samfuran motocin kasuwanci mafi girma da nauyi don tabbatar da cewa motar tana aiki ba tare da hayakin gurɓata ba yayin da take biyan buƙatun makamashi na yau da kullun na abokan ciniki. Sha'awar kasuwa wajen amfani da ƙwayoyin mai na hydrogen don samar da wutar lantarki ga manyan motoci da motocin bas yana ƙaruwa yayin da masu aiki da jiragen ruwa ke neman madadin da ya fi dacewa da motocin lantarki masu tsabta, kuma taimakon gwamnatoci yana ƙaruwa, musamman Dokar Rage Hauhawar Farashi ta Amurka (IRA)."
Duk da cewa yawancin motocin konewa na cikin gida, motocin ɗaukar kaya na gajeren lokaci da manyan motoci za a maye gurbinsu da motocin lantarki masu tsabta cikin shekaru 20 masu zuwa, masu goyon bayan ƙwayoyin man fetur na hydrogen da wasu masu aiki da jiragen ruwa masu dogon zango suna jayayya cewa motocin lantarki masu tsabta suna da matsaloli, kamar nauyin batirin, lokacin da ake ɗauka don caji su da kuma yuwuwar cika grid ɗin.
Motocin da ke ɗauke da ƙwayoyin man fetur na hydrogen (ana haɗa hydrogen da iskar oxygen don samar da ruwa da makamashi don samar da wutar lantarki ga batirin) za a iya sake cika su cikin mintuna kuma suna da tsawon zango fiye da samfuran lantarki na zahiri.
Amma yaduwar ƙwayoyin man fetur na hydrogen yana fuskantar wasu manyan ƙalubale, ciki har da rashin tashoshin cike mai da kuma iskar hydrogen mai kore don samar da wutar lantarki ta amfani da hanyoyin samar da makamashi mai sabuntawa.
